Ever since color printing was invented a century ago, the image it produced has remained unchanged to be in a flattened and stationary manner. Even though most of the objects we see in our daily life are three dimensional and dynamic, these features have never been able to incorporate into the world of printing.
For a short while when holography, especially embossed holography, was invented, people had dreamed of the arrival of the era of 3D in printing matter. However the strict demand on anti-vibration and on shear laser power had restricted the effective use of hologram in such application. Embossed holography could not but retreated to adopt a role as being used in security labels, with an average image dimension of around 2 to 4 cm square only or being as meaningless repeated patterns in packaging foil.
Feeling extremely unsatisfactory to the present status in both holography and color printing, we asked a simple question: why not borrow the well developed conventional technology of printing to produce hologram?
By working virtually single handed and isolated, without getting support from any institutions or experts, we have successfully brought the two rival technologies of printing and holography into one single entity. The offspring of such a marriage in technology is to be named as Yung Hologram.
The advantages of the break through sterns from the fact that without using laser, the speed for the holographic process can be increased thousands of folds, and so does the size. This amazing marriage allows both holography and color printing to sail into an uncharted sea, as it offers a venue for 3D and animated images to be print in a much larger format, at a much faster speed and in a much cheaper way. Almost all printing matters in our daily life, such as books, magazines, news paper, posters, photographs, etc, can be benefited out of it.
We are filing patent applications to countries around the world for converting all sorts of desktop printers to produce hologram. Nevertheless we note that there is still a huge amount of hidden potential in the future development of Yung Hologram, in the area of 3D-print medium, 3D cameras, software and desktop 3D Image Printers. The product presented in this web page is only a small portion in the whole large iceberg. We are interested in developing partnerships to explore the inventions further into its full strength.
